Product Description
Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) is a sulfur-containing organic compound. It is an important polar, non-protonic solvent that is miscible with water and various organic solvents in any proportion. DMSO possesses excellent solubility, high permeability, and strong selective extraction capabilities, and is widely used in the pharmaceutical, electronics, chemical, and pesticide industries.
For detailed information on the physical and chemical properties of DMSO, see 【Addition information】
Main Applications
1. Pharmaceutical and Biochemical Synthesis
• Used as a solvent for drug synthesis reactions and for the crystallization of intermediates; offers excellent solubility and ensures a stable reaction system.
2.Plant Extraction and Purification
• Used for low-temperature extraction of natural plants, traditional Chinese herbs, and essential oils, preserving the activity of active ingredients.
3.Electronics Industry Applications
• Used as a precision cleaning solvent for semiconductors and printed circuit boards; features high purity and low residue, and does not damage precision substrates.
4.Polymer Materials
• Dissolves resins such as polyurethane, polyamide, and polyimide; used as a solvent for film and fiber spinning.
5.Personal Care and Cosmetics Industry
• Used as a penetration enhancer, moisturizing aid, and skin care formulation excipient to improve the penetration and absorption of nutrients.
6.Coatings and Fine Chemicals
• High-end water-based coating co-solvent, resin solubilizer, and reaction medium for chemical intermediates.
