Product Description
Dichloromethane, also known as dichloromethane or DCM, is a colorless, transparent, volatile liquid with a sweet odor similar to that of chloroform. As an important organic solvent, dichloromethane is widely used in paint stripping, metal cleaning, pharmaceutical extraction, and chemical synthesis.
For detailed information on the physical and chemical properties of DCM, see 【Addition information】
Main Applications
1. Industrial Precision Cleaning
• Degreasing and oil removal for metal hardware, plastics, and electronic components; fast-drying, residue-free, and gentle on substrates.
2.Paint and Mold Release Applications
• Formulation of high-efficiency paint strippers and mold release agents; outstanding performance in dissolving old paint films and resin coatings.
3.Pharmaceutical and Fragrance Extraction
• Extraction and purification of natural plant essential oils and pharmaceutical intermediates; low-temperature extraction preserves active ingredients.
4.Polyurethane Foaming
• Used as a foaming agent for PU flexible and rigid foams, ensuring uniform foaming and fine pore structure.
5.Coatings and Adhesives
• Serves as a diluent for specialty coatings, rubber adhesives, and resin solutions, offering strong solubility and rapid evaporation.
6.Fine Chemical Synthesis
• Used as a reaction medium for chemical processes, an intermediate in organic synthesis, and a primary ingredient in cleaning agent formulations.

Storage Requirements
• Storage Temperature: Store in a cool place at ≤30°C
• Storage Location: Store in an explosion-proof warehouse, away from sources of fire and heat
• Ventilation Requirements: Ensure good ventilation, including floor ventilation
• Container Sealing: Keep tightly sealed to prevent evaporation
• Light Protection: Store away from light; exposure to light accelerates decomposition
• Separation Requirements: Store separately from strong oxidizing agents, strong alkalis, metals, and foodstuffs
Safety Precaution
• Respiratory protection: Gas mask with an organic vapor filter cartridge or positive-pressure respirator
• Hand protection: Chemical-resistant gloves (nitrile, neoprene, or butyl rubber)
• Eye protection: Chemical-resistant goggles or face shield
• Body protection: Chemical-resistant suit or lab coat
