Product Description
Phosphoric acid, also known as orthophosphoric acid, is a common inorganic acid classified as a moderately strong acid. In its pure form, it appears as colorless, transparent crystals or a viscous liquid; it is odorless and has a sour taste. Commercially available phosphoric acid is typically a viscous, concentrated solution containing 85% H₃PO₄, which is transparent or slightly tinted. Industrial phosphoric acid is a ternary inorganic acid of moderate strength. It is highly corrosive, stable, and readily soluble in water and ethanol. It is widely used in metal surface rust removal, electroplating and polishing, wastewater treatment, industrial cleaning agents, fertilizer raw materials, food additives (industrial grade, not for human consumption), refractory materials, electronic chemicals, and phosphate synthesis.
