¥5,000.00

Methanol is the simplest saturated monohydric alcohol. It evaporates quickly, has strong solvent power, and is highly miscible; it is miscible with a variety of solvents, including water, ethanol, diethyl ether, ketones, and aromatics. As a basic bulk chemical raw material, it is widely used in organic synthesis, paint and ink diluents, industrial cleaning, antifreeze, alcohol-based fuels, pharmaceutical and pesticide intermediates, and the production of formaldehyde and methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE). Our product is a high-purity, refined alcohol with low moisture content, minimal impurities, and stable distillation fractions. Sourced directly from major manufacturers, it is classified as a Class 3 flammable liquid and comes with complete hazardous chemical certification. We can provide SDS, COA, hazardous goods packaging certificates, and a full suite of export customs clearance and logistics services.

Main Applications

1.  Energy Applications

• Fuel: Used directly as automotive fuel or blended with gasoline to form methanol-gasoline blends (such as M15 and M85); with an octane rating as high as 109, it burns cleanly and reduces exhaust emissions.
• Marine Fuel: Methanol is rapidly gaining traction as a marine propulsion fuel, significantly reducing emissions of sulfur oxides (SOx), nitrogen oxides (NOx), and particulate matter, and aligning with the IMO’s 2050 emission reduction targets.
• Hydrogen Carrier: Methanol is a liquid at standard temperature and pressure and has a high energy density. By producing hydrogen on-site through reforming reactions, it addresses the challenges of hydrogen production, storage, and transportation.

2.Solvent & Reagent

• Industrial Solvent: Used as a solvent in paints, inks, and cleaning agents; it is also a common mobile phase in chromatography.
• Antifreeze: Its low freezing point and excellent solubility make it an essential component of automotive windshield washer fluid and antifreeze.

3.Other Applications

• Methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE): A high-octane gasoline additive
• Dimethyl ether (DME): A clean fuel used as a substitute for natural gas
• Feedstock for biodiesel
• Direct methanol fuel cells

Storage Requirements

• Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated warehouse
• Keep away from sources of ignition and heat; warehouse temperature should not exceed 37°C
• Keep containers tightly sealed to prevent leakage
• The storage area should be equipped with explosion-proof electrical equipment and a ventilation system

Safety Precaution

• Respiratory protection: ABEK-type (EN 14387) respirators; use positive-pressure respirators when concentrations exceed limits
• Eye protection: Face shield or goggles splash guard
• Hand protection: Formic acid-resistant gloves (butyl rubber, fluorocarbon rubber)
• Body protection: Chemical-resistant coveralls, apron, protective boots
