Product Description
Isopropyl alcohol (IPA) is an important organic compound and a versatile solvent. It is a colorless, transparent, and highly volatile liquid with a characteristic alcoholic odor. As a secondary alcohol, isopropyl alcohol possesses excellent solubility and is miscible with water, alcohols, ethers, chloroform, and many other organic solvents. Isopropyl alcohol is widely used in the electronics industry for cleaning, in medical disinfection, in cosmetic formulations, as a solvent for inks, and in paints and coatings. Due to its highly effective disinfecting properties and relative safety, 70% isopropyl alcohol is widely used for disinfecting skin and medical devices.
For detailed information on the physical and chemical properties of IPA, see 【Addition information】
Main Applications
1. Precision Electronic Cleaning
• Degreasing, oil removal, dust removal, and wiping of circuit boards, lenses, displays, and semiconductor components; fast-evaporating with no residue.
2.Coatings and Inks Industry
• Used as a screen printing ink, coating thinner, and flow agent to adjust viscosity and improve application properties and drying speed.
3. Industrial Hardware Cleaning
• Degreasing and cleaning of metal stampings, precision molds, and plastic surfaces; does not damage the substrate and provides excellent cleaning performance.
4.Personal Care and Fragrances
• Used as fragrance solvents, cosmetic additives, and aerosol raw materials; offers excellent solubility and a mild odor.
5.Pharmaceuticals and Disinfection
• Medical disinfectant and sterilizing solvents; extraction and reaction solvents for pharmaceutical intermediates.
6.Organic Synthesis
• Used as raw materials for chemical synthesis, extraction agents, and reaction media; suitable for a wide range of fine chemical processes.
