Product Description
Propylene carbonate (PC) is a polar organic solvent characterized by a high dielectric constant, low freezing point, and exceptional chemical stability; it belongs to the class of cyclic carbonate compounds. It is an organic compound produced by the cyclization reaction of propylene glycol and carbon dioxide in the presence of a catalyst. It is liquid at room temperature, does not solidify at low temperatures, exhibits excellent electrochemical properties, and is highly compatible with various lithium-ion battery solvents and lithium salts. It is widely used as the primary solvent in lithium-ion battery electrolytes, an organic synthesis intermediate, a gas absorbent, a polymer modification additive, and an extraction solvent in the fine chemicals industry. The electronic-grade specification features low moisture content, low metal ion levels, and extremely low impurity levels, making it suitable for power batteries, energy storage batteries, and high-end electronic chemicals.
